I was commissioned to build a campaign website for Breast Cancer Care. The design had already been created in Photoshop by a graphic design company. My job was to take these pictures and use them to build a functioning website using WordPress, with a form to enable visitors to leave messages of support, and prominent links with social networking websites.
Most of my clients are non-profit organisations. However, The Change Management Group is a business consultancy that’s based in the UK but has an international reach. I built their website in WordPress using the Striking premium theme, customising it to match the Group’s branding, colours and logo.
Adam is a besom broom maker, spoon carver and woodturner. I recently overhauled his website so he can sell his carved spoons through an online shop and this example shows just how cheaply e-commerce can be done.
Next Door is a nonprofit organisation in the US that provides intervention and prevention services for domestic violence. They wanted a new website and wanted it quickly. This is what we built together using WordPress.
I designed the website for the Council for Voluntary Services in Hounslow. This independent body supports, advises and represents all voluntary groups in the London Borough of Hounslow. Their old website was just a single page with a few logos. They wanted something better, designed to match their colour scheme, with far more content. Importantly, they must be able to edit the content themselves and publish regular news items.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, an organisation that I’ve worked with on and off for the last eight years, commissioned me to design a new mini-website. The site gives women (and their partners) who have lost a child to an ectopic pregnancy, opportunity to light a candle and leave a message in remembrance.
Today was my last day as Baptcare’s website and Intranet editor. My final task was to create a landing page for their charity golf event. The design has simple, attractive typography using Baptcare’s corporate colours.
An Intranet is like a website except that it’s only available to people working within the organisation. It’s used to share information internally rather than to publicly promote the organisation’s services. I redesigned Baptcare’s Intranet home page. I also set up Intranets for nonprofit organisations using WordPress.
TeamPB is a website jointly run by The Prostate Cancer Charity and Breast Cancer Care. They provided the visual design and I made it all work in WordPress. It’s a blog, but also invaluable for recruiting new runners via online forms.
This new Association needed a website to promote their organisation, sign up members and advertises their conference and other events. I designed their website and built it using WordPress. The site has three complex membership forms which we set up to send data directly to their online client database, Salesforce.
I designed the cover and inlay for my Dad’s woodturning DVD. A quick and simple task, especially since he was able to provide a selection of eye-catching photos to choose from. The artwork was sent to the company printing the DVDs, following their guidelines on dimensions and quality.
I built this website — Dementia Friendly Environments — for the Department of Health. The site was built to follow Australian government guidelines on accessibility, and uses the corporate branding of Victorian goverment websites.
TGV Design are a branding and marketing communications company, with an impressive portfolio of design work. They recently commissioned me to build their new website in WordPress. The TGV website has very few static pages; apart from a blog, its main feature is a portfolio of their work with galleries of images for each of their clients.
The RSA Comment commissioned me to build a website where you can read opinion pieces, watch topical videos, comment on them and even submit your own writing. The site carefully follows the corporate branding of the RSA. It uses WordPress as its underlying CMS, has a complex home page layout and multiple columns on all pages.
